WELCOME STUDENTS AND PARENTS TO THE NEW Catechism School Year. We are eager to begin and have lots of interesting activities planned for you. First, we want to share some important information with you. The first day of classes is scheduled for Sunday, September 19th. The 2010-11 Catechism School Handbook will be available for pick up on that day. ALL STUDENTS SHOULD REPORT TO THEIR CLASSROOM AT 9:30AM. We will then proceed to the church for Holy Communion and the Agiasmos service. Don’t forget our annual Ice Cream Social will be in the Memorial Center directly after church services.
*Students in the Pre-Nursery through 1st Grades will find their classrooms on the upper level of the Classroom wing.
*Students in the 2nd through 6th Grades will find their classrooms on the lower level of the Classroom wing.
*Students in Grades 7, 8, 9 & 10 will meet in the Athenagoras Rooms A and B.
*Students in Grades 11 and 12 will meet in the Philoptochos Library.

Please submit a form for each child. You may copy this form or get more forms from the office. The completed forms go to the teachers.
In an effort to fully update our database, we ask that a form be submitted for all children, whether they have been enrolled in prior years or are just beginning Catechism School.

The 2010-2011 Catechism School Program begins on Sunday September 19th and concludes on Sunday May 22nd. All students will come to the Divine Liturgy at 9:30 a.m. They will remain in church to receive Holy Communion, and then proceed to their classrooms for religious instruction. The purpose of this is to have our children participate more fully in the Divine Liturgy, worship with their families and receive Holy Communion regularly.
There are a few dates on the calendar that indicate an early start for classes. These days are marked with an asterisk (*). On those Sundays, the students should come directly to their Catechism School classes at 9:30 a.m. They will be brought into church prior to Holy Communion and remain for the special service. Afterward, they will return to their classes. They will be dismissed from their classrooms. The dates are as follows: Sept. 19th (1st Day of Classes), Dec. 19th (Christmas Program), Mar. 13th (Sunday of Orthodoxy), Mar. 27th (Veneration of the Cross Sunday), Apr. 17th (Palm Sunday) The last day of classes will be May 22nd. Students will go directly to church at 9:30 a.m. Awards will be presented following the Divine Liturgy.
