Choir

The Annunciation Choir leads the faithful in singing the liturgical hymns and responses during the Divine Services. They are a part of the Mid-Eastern Federation of Greek Orthodox Choirs and participate in the “MEFGOX” annual conference. Our choir is currently under the direction of Mr. Ernest Stathes with Mrs. Linda Parker serving as the Organist. The choir also makes annual trips to our parish’s shut-ins at Christmas to sing Christmas Carols and Hymns. Our choir consists of voices of all ages, as we encourage our youth to participate in glorifying God through song.

Choir Practice is every Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. To join the choir, or for additional information regarding the choir, please contact Choir Director Ernie Stathes or Organist Linda Parker

Mid-Eastern Federation of Greek Orthodox Choir Convention

As part of this year’s MEFGOX Choir Convention at our church July 19-22, A Convention Album will be published. The parishioners, church musicians, and Dayton community businesses are invited to participate by submitting ads. Funds from the album will help defray the cost of the convention and also help MEFGOX carry out its communications and educational goals. There are three ways to you can be part of the album: 1. Submit a page recognizing the church musicians of your parish. Special parish rate is $100.00 How wonderful if we could have all our parishes represented. 2. As individuals, make a contribution as a gold ($100), silver ($50), or bronze ($25) benefactor. We would be most appreciative. 3. Submit a memorial or a business ad page from others in your community, $150. An extra way to help us. Thank you for your support to the Dayton Convention and MEFGOX! For details, contact the Convention Liaison, Mary Haritos, mary.haritos@gmail.com. Deadline for submission is May 30.
